An easy way to explain to the players about the role of free soccer drills. No specific rules exist. Being the coach you have the freedom to innovate and make your own drills and games.
Have an open mind to tweak the existing soccer exercises and alter them to suit your requirements. Here are some of the tips that can help you accomplish a creative soccer training program.
Your plan shouldn’t be rigid. It’s quite natural all your plans need not manifest as planned. The kids will fall sick or may not turn up if it rains. Make arrangement to cover all the possible obstructers.
We should have plenty of planned soccer practice games. If some do not fit into your schedule, eliminate them and go to the next. Don’t enforce anything, just do what the kids like, you will soon realize what works with them.
All the kids should warm up before any practice session. Apart from the regular soccer drills that warm up the body, make them use the soccer ball as well. The kids should practice kicking the ball around between their feet’s and kick the ball around.
The free soccer drills used for warming up are designed with a fun element and are available in plenty.
Each player has access to one soccer ball at least. Many individual activities should be planned that can be performed using the ball. Activities such as shooting, dribbling and hitting the ball against the wall should be practiced. The player’s movement should be free and the playing area shouldn’t have any lines or marks.
In soccer coaching, after the individual activities are over, involve the players in some group activities. The drills like passing and receiving the balls are lot of fun. Make the kids play soccer grouped into team without a goalkeeper. Let them hit the goals and do not set boundaries for this game.
Also, teach them to first attack and then defend. This will give them a free hand in developing their own unique style.
It is mandatory the kids are grouped together as a team in group activities. Give the kids some time to learn the concept of team play while shifting from individual to group activities. The role of the coach is to just guide the players.
Teach the players the importance of playing as group to win matches. The biggest advantage of performing these exercises is that it teaches the players to practice in a limited area, not do too much with the ball, and also work as a team.
Handling soccer exercise in this way is the easiest. Be innovative and integrate different free soccer drills which will be helpful to the kids to learn.
