Why The 2010 Summer Will Be One To Remember

it is a wide-spread rumour in the media that the 2010 summer will be a great one. For the north European countries that could be translated into less rain, higher temperatures although the countries of southern Europe should expect inferno like temparatures. What is also a fact is that during Word Cup years people tend to travel less and it seems that they enjoy themselves in their homelands too. It is, without any doubt, a very big social event and not just a sport one, considering the huge amount of people that will be following it.

Another reason that increases the prospects for the forthcoming summer is the world cup in South Africa. All football fans are definitely excited about that, which is going to be the first world cup ever to be hosted on African soil. Who doesn’t really like the combination of a hot summer with a lot of football and social gatherings?. After that harsh and long cold winter all Europeans that were affected by recession are really hoping for a great summer.

The most typical summer scene the majority of the people have in their mind is about being with the best friends or family all around the TV set being completely absorbed by the football crowd’s noise coming out of those portable speakers. The young ones will be all around the place, chasing each other or just playing with their outdoor toys, such as a remote control helicopter, while the grown ups will be pouring beer out of a beer dispenser. And for those who do not enjoy watching sports on television, there is a place by the barbecue.

Hopefully for many, there’s no room for mistakes in the scientist’s forecasts for the summer. Until then let’s keep our fingers crossed!
